Control and perturbation in Sturm — Liouville’s problem with discontinuous nonlinearity

چکیده
We consider the Sturm — Liouville problem with discontinuous nonlinearity, control and perturbation. Previously obtained results for equations a spectral parameter operator are applied to this problem. By variational method, we have established theorems on existence of solutions nonlinearity optimal problem, as well topological properties set acceptable “control state” pairs. A one-dimensional analog Gol’dshtik model separated flows an incompressible fluid perturbation is given application.

Homotopy perturbation method for eigenvalues of non-definite Sturm-Liouville problem
In this paper, we consider the application of the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) to compute the eigenvalues of the Sturm-Liouville problem (SLP) which is called non-definite SLP. Two important Examples show that HPM is reliable method for computing the eigenvalues of SLP.

This paper deals with the boundary value problem involving the differential equation begin{equation*} ell y:=-y''+qy=lambda y, end{equation*} subject to the standard boundary conditions along with the following discontinuity conditions at a point $ain (0,pi)$ begin{equation*} y(a+0)=a_1 y(a-0),quad y'(a+0)=a_1^{-1}y'(a-0)+a_2 y(a-0), end{equation*} where $q(x), a_1 , a_2$ are rea...
متن کاملSturm-liouville Problems and Discontinuous Eigenvalues
If a Sturm-Liouville problem is given in an open interval of the real line then regular boundary value problems can be considered on compact sub-intervals. For these regular problems, all with necessarily discrete spectra, the eigenvalues depend on both the end-points of the compact intervals, and upon the choice of the real separated boundary conditions at these end-points. These eigenvalues a...
متن کاملEigenvalues of Sturm-liouville Problems with Discontinuous Boundary Conditions
For classical regular two-point self-adjoint Sturm-Liouville problems (SLP) the dependence of the eigenvalues on the boundary conditions is well understood because of some surprisingly recent results. Recently there has been a lot of interest in problems with discontinuous boundary conditions. Such conditions are known by various names including transmission conditions, interface conditions, po...
متن کاملMatrix representation of a sixth order Sturm-Liouville problem and related inverse problem with finite spectrum
In this paper, we find matrix representation of a class of sixth order Sturm-Liouville problem (SLP) with separated, self-adjoint boundary conditions and we show that such SLP have finite spectrum. Also for a given matrix eigenvalue problem $HX=lambda VX$, where $H$ is a block tridiagonal matrix and $V$ is a block diagonal matrix, we find a sixth order boundary value problem of Atkin...
